We will be refreshing our memory, from last year, over the first few weeks of term one.
To start off with we will be covering letter sounds using the jolly phonics programme. This is the same programme taught in new entrant classes here at Reremoana School. Click here > Jolly Phonics (letter sounds).
We will be quickly moving on to short and long vowel sounds, and blends.
For children who have already grasped good letter knowledge (identification, sounds, groupings) there will be some other material provided.
Feel free to practise phonics at home.
