SuperClubsPLUS

I have some super duper students who have already gained their red star. Yay! Your goal is to catch up the me and get your green star. As you progress through the stars you will be learning more and more about super clubs and how to be safe when online.

Here is a blurb from SuperClubsPLUS

The Star Club is a place to learn how to do ICT-related activities. Children can progress step-by-step through the SuperClubsPLUS technology or they can learn from their contemporaries by asking a Tech Team member or friend online.

The more stars children earn, the more website pages they receive.

The Star Club motivates children to:

- Be safe online with the White Star quiz

- Build a fantastic home page of their very own

- Communicate with other children safely and effectively

Equipment

It is very important for each student to be prepared for learning. Having the correct equipment in their pencil case helps them to get prepared quickly. Please ensure your child has a good supply of black pens and HB pencils at school. Rubbers, sharpeners and rulers also need to be replaced.

Please ask your child if they need replacement equipment for their pencil case.

It is especially important for each item to be named. If they are named the items can be given back to the owner.

Successful Writing

Each child in Room 6 have a specific goal or goals around their writing. Today Brodi was learning to add more detail to her writing so that it is more exciting for the reader. I like the way she added words like quickly, warm, snuggled, and suddenly in her story which made it more exciting to read. Well done Brodi.

Keegan enjoys using his imagination and will write some very clever fictional stories. Listen to this one about robots.

Missing You

For family health reasons I am unable to teach until Thursday. You will see that I have added a reading project for this weeks homefun. Have a look over at the homefun page. If you have any questions please wait until Thursday. I am unable to email from home.

The class writing books are also here with me at home. I was having a look at them over the long weekend. I am sure whoever teaches you while I am away will find a way for you to get your writing completed. You could even use the back of your reading book.
